Carts of Darknes showcases a subculture where shopping carts are used for extreme sports. The film follows filmmaker Murray Siple who got into cart-racing 12 years after a car accident left him quadriplegic. In this sport, shopping carts are used to race down the steep slopes of North Vancouver. Homeless men also join this exciting sport which they use to wheel out of their difficult situations.
