In the Episode #1 entitled "Insomnia", the viewer meets the great Russian writer in the last years of his life (1908-1910), but the memoirs of Leo Tolstoy return us both to the events of his youth and to the time of a decisive and passionate change in his views.

In the Episode #2 entitled "Leaving", the viewer sees the final - the tragic leaving of Leo Tolstoy from Yasnaya Polyana and the death that became the beginning of his immortality.
