Husband and wife, Will (Jamie Bamber) and Dawn (Stefanie von Pfetten), are in financial crisis after learning the Will's job has disappeared in the midst of a market collapse. Whilst driving home on the winter highway one night they pick up a pair of hitchhikers and all four then become embroiled in a hunt for buried gold in the desolate and dangerous wilderness.
