Sanika is the daughter of renowned classical singer Ramabai Shirodkar. Although a gifted singer herself, Sanika detests everyone comparing her to Ramabai, without recognising her for what she is. Finally, she decides to leave the sphere of her mother's influence, to make it on her own.
