Shark River is an art house nod to 1970s road films. The movie tracks a young couple making their way to New Jersey after an ill-fated trip north to marry. Along the way they are guided by an anonymous radio DJ who provides scraps of information as well as a playlist for them to drive to as they stare down the possible collapse of the American Dream, and their life as they know it.
