The Adulterer

Willem seems to have disappeared after a confrontation with Couwenberg, a blazing row with Marco. Elsie has a hard time in prison.

Iris and Marit are not convinced that Willem's disappearance is all that it seems. Meanwhile, Elsie is fitted with an ankle monitor and allowed home temporarily.

Iris does everything in her power to prove that the note she received was not written by Willem while Elsie receives a disturbing message on her laptop.

With hesitation, Elsie calls Couwenberg who then calls the police. The police switch into gear and the investigation immediately accelerates. A second video arrives.

The suspicions of Mike fall on deaf ears at the police station, however Iris and Raymi stumble upon the truth. Mike is given a difficult task which could have fatal consequences.

The clock is ticking fast, as the delivery of the ransom fails to bring the return of Willem. Then an anonymous text adds fuel to the rapidly spreading fire.

A questionable photo of Willem leaves Iris incredulous. Meanwhile, there is a feeling of remorse as both Pepijn and the police begin to question their past decisions.

With plans for Willem's memorial commencing, a skeptical Iris reaches out to an unlikely source.

In a bid to explain himself, Couwenberg drives Elsie to the kidnap site, but implores her to keep quiet until the Royackers' trial is finally over. But can he trust his own daughter?

Elsie has only one thing on her mind: making a deal. Pepijn sends another text message to Couwenberg seemingly finalizing Willem's death, but things don't turn out as expected.
