The true story of how investigative journalist Hans Knoop attempted to uncover the truth behind Pieter Menten, a man responsible for the execution of Jewish families in Poland during the war. In Dutch with English subtitles.

Knoop visits the officer who had once arrested Menten who reveals that he holds some files which could be the key to Menten’s downfall. Meanwhile, sales of the magazine are booming as the story grows in popularity, and Knoop is determined to expose more of the story week on week. When he gets wind of Menten’s supposedly dead brother alive and well, Knoop must act fast to pull the case together…

Knoop seeks out Menten’s brother Dirk, and pleads with him to divulge the dark secrets he harbors about his brother at a trial. Back in the Netherlands, Menten evades arrest and soon an international hunt is underway. Will Knoop and officer Wouters reach Menten in time? And if the case goes to trial, which of the witnesses Knoop painstakingly tracked down will come forward and testify?
