The General's Daughter

Somewhere along the West Philippine Sea, a foreign vessel captures a group of fishermen and accuses them of smuggling drugs. 2nd Lt. Rhian Bonifacio (Angel Locsin) gets shot after sneaking in the vessel to rescue the fishermen. She eventually washes ashore on an island and awakens at the humble home of Isabelle (Maricel Soriano) and Elai (Arjo Atayde) with no memory of who she is.

Because of her great reflexes and superior fighting skills, Dyosa (Angel Locsin) fears that she has done bad things prior to her head trauma. Soon after, she learns that two military soldiers are looking for her. She then breathes a sigh of relief upon discovering that her real name is 2nd Lt. Rhian Bonifacio, a registered military nurse for the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Rhian (Angel Locsin) tries to piece her life together before her head injury. Soon, Rhian reunites with her father, Gen. Tiago Guerrero (Tirso Cruz III). She eventually recovers her memories, as well as her true purpose for joining the army. At a young age, Rhian underwent rigorous training to infiltrate the military and exact vengeance on her father's archrival.

After being left behind in a war zone, Tiago (Bernard Palanca) uncovers the horrific truth about the country's corrupt government. The young military officer then stages a coup d'état, only to be foiled by his trusted friend, Marcial (Joseph Bitangcol). Stripped of his military rank, Tiago's life spirals downward while he witnesses Marcial rise through the ranks and start a family with Corazon

Under orders from Heneral Tiago (Tirso Cruz III), Rhian (Angel Locsin) tries to secure the smuggled drugs before the military could seize it. However, Special Force Aguila beats her to the package and neutralizes the disgraced military officer's men. Rhian then realizes that Ethan (JC de Vera) is following her as she tries to escape.

Marcial (Albert Martinez) is certain that the masked man he encountered was Tiago (Tirso Cruz III). He also believes that the latter is behind the recent terrorist activities. Corazon (Eula Valdez), on the other hand, worries for her husband's safety after learning about Tiago's return. Meanwhile, Amelia (Janice de Belen) confronts Tiago on the real reason behind his ongoing feud with Marcial.

Tiago (Tirso CruzIII) fumes as Marcial (Albert Martinez) continues to meddle with his illegal business. Soon, his allies, including Amelia (Janice de Belen), begin to question his decision to trust Rhian (Angel Locsin) with their mission. However, Tiago remains confident that Rhian will not fail him. Meanwhile, Rhian spends time with Corazon (Eula Valdez), much to Jessie's (Ryza Cenon) distaste.

Tiago (Tirso Cruz III) manages to save his drug operation from a military raid after receiving a tip from Rhian (Angel Locsin). The fuming syndicate leader then orders her to find out who dared to double-cross him. Rhian infiltrates the military headquarters and discovers the identity of traitor. Tiago immediately dispatches Franco (Paulo Avelino) to kill the traitor, but Rhian gets in their way.

The chaotic life with Tiago (Tirso Cruz III) proves too much for Rhian (Angel Locsin) to handle. Looking for an escape, Rhian goes back to Barrio Sto. Francisco. The townspeople welcome her back with open arms. Meanwhile, Marcial (Albert Martinez) orders a manhunt for Rhian, believing that she is the link to the unidentified drug syndicate.

Rhian's (Angel Locsin) mysterious disappearance starts to cause a stir within the military and Tiago's (Tirso Cruz III) camp. However, Ethan (JC de Vera) remains confident that Rhian is a good person. At Barrio Sto. Francisco, Rhian uses her medical knowledge in helping one of the residents. Soon, she discovers one of the town's hardest struggles.

Marcial (Albert Martinez) learns that Tiago (Tirso Cruz III) was caught in the crossfire during the shootout between Special Force Aguila and David Pascal (Ruben Maria Soriquez). Suspecting that Tiago is tied to the renowned terrorist, Marcial confronts his former friend. However, Tiago denies helping David escape.

Rhian (Angel Locsin) receives a cold welcome from Tiago (Tirso Cruz III) and Amelia (Janice de Belen). She then gets reprimanded for saving the man who betrayed their family. On the other hand, Tiago and Amelia are surprised upon learning Rhian's decision about her mission.

Much to Tiago's (Tirso Cruz III) delight, Rhian (Angel Locsin) decides to push through with her mission. She later returns to the Command Camp and tries to prove her innocence despite the generals' allegations against her.

Marcial (Albert Martinez) starts to think if Rhian (Angel Locsin) has a connection with Tiago (Tirso Cruz III). He later requests Rhian to join the medical mission in Liwanag. Meanwhile, Tiago is confident that Marcial will not discover his illegal dealings with David (Ruben Maria Soriquez).

Rhian (Angel Locsin) successfully obtains information about Reggie's (uncredited) location. Concerned for the safety of Reggie and his family, Rhian decides to keep her discovery from Tiago (Tirso Cruz III). Later, the Guerrero patriarch manages to find a way to get rid of Marcial's (Albert Martinez) suspicion against Rhian.

Rhian (Angel Locsin) finds out that Tiago (Tirso Cruz III) knows where the military is holding the Peraltas. In hopes of stopping further bloodshed, Rhian tries to get to the Peraltas before Tiago could do so. She discovers later on that she is too late. Later, Tiago manages to convince her that the military is behind the assassination.

Rhian (Angel Locsin) and Ethan (JC De Vera) arrive at the de Leon's house to join them for dinner. There, Rhian finds out how close Marcial (Albert Martinez) and Corazon (Eula Valdez) are to Ethan and his family. Due to an unexpected circumstance, Rhian later manages to sneak into Jessie's (Ryza Cenon) room and discovers who was behind Reggie (uncredited) and Aida's (uncredited) deaths.

Tiago (Tirso Cruz III) asks Rhian (Angel Locsin) to continue using Corazon (Eula Valdez) to gain Marcial's (Albert Martinez) trust. Later, Rhian goes to Arabella's to attend Corazon's cooking lessons. The two soon grow closer to each other after an incident at the restaurant. Meanwhile, Ivan (Ronnie Alonte) begins his special assignment to tail Ethan (JC De Vera).

Rhian (Angel Locsin) feels sympathy for Corazon (Eula Valdez) after learning the fate of the latter's daughter, Arabella. She then reminds herself not to get attached to her family's enemies and to stay focused on her mission. Meanwhile, Ethan (JC De Vera) invites Rhian to join him in the Command Camp's fundraising event.

Tiago (Tirso Cruz III) shares to Amelia (Janice de Belen) his hunch that Rhian (Angel Locsin) is starting to have doubts about him. Because of this, Tiago orders Franco (Paulo Avelino) to keep a close watch on Rhian and find out why she is acting distant. Wanting to play mind games with the de Leons, Amelia suggests that she and Tiago attend the Command Camp's fundraising event.

Tension rises between Tiago (Tirso Cruz III) and Marcial (Albert Martinez) after Corazon (Eula Valdez) confronted the former regarding Arabelle's death. Seeing the pain Tiago caused his wife, Marcial vows to do whatever it takes to take him down. Rhian (Angel Locsin) then asks Tiago to leave the de Leons' fundraising event.

After digging deeper into Marcial (Albert Martinez) and Tiago's (Tirso Cruz III) conflict, Rhian (Angel Locsin) returns to Barrio Santo Francisco to clear her thoughts. She then reveals her family background to Isabelle (Maricel Soriano). Despite the threat of bankruptcy, Corazon (Eula Valdez) is determined to keep all branches of Arabella's open.

After clearing her head in Barrio Santo Francisco, Rhian (Angel Locsin) returns to Command Camp to continue her mission. Tiago (Tirso Cruz III) then tasks her to investigate if the military has any knowledge about Pascal's (Ruben Maria Soriquez) return. Meanwhile, Marcial (Albert Martinez) convinces Corazon (Eula Valdez) not to push through with her business partnership with Tiago.

Ethan (JC De Vera) and Rhian (Angel Locsin) head to Aurora for their respective missions. Later, Rhian meets up with Franco (Paulo Avelino) to inform him about the military's latest intelligence report on David Pascal's (Ruben Maria Soriquez) return. Much to his dismay, Marcial (Albert Martinez) learns that Corazon (Eula Valdez) pushed through with her business partnership with Tiago (Tirso)
