Gowen and Christopher happen upon Elizabeth and her class planting trees in the woods where Christopher learns Cooper and Toby are taking the blame for starting the fire. Lee thinks he's having a heart attack, but learns it was caused by anxiety. Lucas finally gets Edie to forgive him for having missed a meeting to help the residents of Benson Hills.

Georgie McGill arrives back in Hope Valley with a new polygraph Machine. During a dinner party Georgie, Bill, Nathan, and Elizabeth decide to try out the machine, leading to Little Jack asking Nathan if he plans to marry his mother. Nathan freezes… Nathan assures Elizabeth, in playful code, that the moment they're both waiting for will come - and he promises it will be worth waiting for.

Nathan builds the case against Pioneer Electric by going with Christopher to find the charred transformer. Before they get far, they're run off the road by an unknown assailant. Nathan rushes to bring an unconscious Christopher to the infirmary. The accident sparks an honest, emotional conversation between Elizabeth and Nathan about their blended family. They're closer than ever.

Hollywood comes to Hope Valley as Rosemary directs a silent film and gets the whole community involved. Nathan confesses to Elizabeth that he feels like a failure for having lost track of Christopher. Elizabeth reasserts her faith in him and they share a kiss in front of a gorgeous sunset.

LJ loses his father's medal on a hike and Elizabeth and Nathan organize a "scavenger hunt of memories" to replace the lost medal. Nathan invites Charlotte Thornton as a final surprise of the hunt. She shares with LJ an old letter of Jack's and tells him he is his father's greatest legacy.

Nathan tells Allie he's going to propose to Elizabeth but doesn't know her ring size. They concoct many failed plans on how to retrieve her ring size. Nathan officially asks Charlotte Thornton for her blessing and they both go visit Jack Sr.'s tombstone together. Rosemary uses her acting skills to inform a National Insurance Claims Adjuster about a "controlled burn" conducted by Leveaux Farms.
