Abbott Elementary

The teachers are back at Willard R. Abbott Public School for development week, a time to prepare for the upcoming year before the students' first day of school.

Janine is determined to make Abbott just as good as the new charter school down the street, Gregory avoids Barbara, and Ava hosts a Shark Tank-style pitch.

A traveling storytelling troupe visits Abbott Elementary, and Janine helps Jacob embrace his nerdy side. Meanwhile, Melissa struggles with her combined class.

Gregory is dismayed that the kids enjoy disciplinary time with Ava, and Janine becomes determined to reunite Melissa with her estranged sister.

Janine introduces a new beverage to the cafeteria but has unexpected consequences. Elsewhere, Melissa clashes with her new aide.

When the eighth-grade science class participates in an egg drop activity, Janine insists her second-grade class joins in. When the science teacher and Gregory tell her that her students aren't ready for physics lessons, Janine tries to prove them wrong.

Ava helps out when Janine is out sick and starts the day in an unconventional fashion. Meanwhile, Barbara and Melissa revel in the quieter-than-normal teacher's lounge.

On the last day of school before winter break, Janine goes to a popular hookah club, and Jacob crashes Barbara and Melissa's traditional holiday dinner.

The competition heats up between Melissa and Janine as their classrooms go head-to-head in a read-a-thon sponsored by a local pizza shop.

The faculty learn lessons in teamwork, two of Janine's students aren't getting along in class, and Melissa and Ava plot to bring down Mr. Johnson in fantasy football.

Barbara organizes a fundraiser to raise money for a school field trip, and Mr. Johnson and Jacob butt heads about how to take care of a cat found in the janitor's closet.

Barbara's candle accidentally starts a small fire in the teacher's lounge and Melissa rekindles her childhood dream of being a firefighter.

It's Valentine's Day, and Janine finds out one of her students has a crush on her. When she turns to a colleague for advice, she inadvertently learns a secret.

Gregory reluctantly attends the Pennsylvania Educational Conference after a disagreement with Amber, and he bonds with Janine. Plus, Jacob is charmed by the Addington teachers.

Jacob's students visit a mural arts program, but he doesn't agree with their chosen design. Plus, the parents petition to turn Abbott into a Legendary charter school.

When the district gives Abbott two tickets to a 76ers game, the teachers must decide who gets them. Later, Janine hosts game night and her sister, Ayesha, comes to visit.

Abbott Elementary rallies together to fight the threat from Legendary Charter Schools. Ava pitches a festival to draw parents to school and collect their signatures for a petition. However, Draemond shows up with the intention of derailing the event.

Gregory is named Educator of the Year. Later, Janine deals with a difficult student, and it's revealed that Barbara hasn't completed her teaching requirements.

Janine's plan for a Memorial Day weekend solo trip is derailed when her mother shows up unannounced, asking for help. Elsewhere, Gregory notices his colleagues are great at small talk and realizes he needs to brush up on his people skills.

Abbott Elementary takes a field trip to the Franklin Institute. Gregory is eager to spend time with a reluctant Janine, who is avoiding him. Ava teaches the students about aliens, leading to chaos when someone spots an extraterrestrial in the museum.
