A testament to the immense complexity of nature and family, STEP BY STEP follows two dreamers - one of them pregnant - and a dog on an odyssey to bring harmony to their lives and the land surrounding them. The pregnancy of Valentina leads to a lot of unanswered questions for the two so they decide to leave to hectic life in Berlin and move to the countryside.
