The Kettles travel to Hawaii when Pa is summoned by his ailing relative to operate his pineapple factory until he recovers. Before long, tycoon Pa accidentally increases production, which attracts the attention of jealous business rival Robert Coates. When Coates's cohorts kidnap Pa, Ma teams with the Kettles' Hawaiian counterparts for a hilarious rescue.
