Half-brothers Joël and Régis have nothing in common - apart from their father. Otherwise, the two are fundamentally different: While Joël is unemployed, and blames this situation on the fact that he is a black man and France is a racist country, Régis is fully socially integrated. When their father is dying in the Antilles, and they travel to see him, they are still constantly at odds.
