The Secret City

Santiago catches the Moscow cannibal and sacrifices him to the oracle. The oracle reports the approaching danger that can destroy all the Houses. It becomes clear that the new "steam" drug is capable of curing Chels of all diseases and giving them superpowers. Santiago decides to launch a war to weaken other Houses. He signs a contract with mercenaries.

Santiago finds out that the effect of "steam" is similar to that of the legendary Golden root, the distribution of which is heavily controlled in the Secret town. Mercenaries go to Altai in order to check how plantations of the Golden root are guarded. Chel Veronika opens the gates to Hyperborea. The warrior Ktulhu gets through the gates into the Secret town to release the leader of Hyperborea.

The Great Houses put forward a reward for capturing Veronika and Ktulhu. Santiago asks mercenaries to find the laboratory of Chels on production of the "steam" drug. The Green House also joins the search for laboratory.

The mercenaries, together with Veronika and Ktulhu, find the "steam" laboratory. Santiago is going to bring Lyud' and Chood' together at the laboratory, hoping for confrontation between them. Mercenaries capture the leader of the drug dealers. Cortes kills Ktulhu. Veronika manages to escape. Hyperboreans revive another warrior.

Veronika offers a union to the House of Chood' in fight against the Green house. By means of "steam", controlled by Chood' after the destruction of laboratory, she wants to call to her aid the Hyperborean army and to make knights of the House Chood' the only owners of the Secret town. Chood' accepts Veronika's proposal and decides to start a war with the Green House.

Veronika, together with the Commandor of the House Chood' - Shayne - bring together the witches of Hyperborea. They also abduct Yana - the girlfriend of Cortes. Yana also turns out to be a witch. Veronika opens Hyperborea gates. The warrior Eligor comes out from the gates. House Chood' is split into two camps - peacekeepers led by de Gir and supporters of war led by Shayne.

The Dark Court builds an artefact - a protective pyramid. The house of Chood' calls soldiers from Hyperborea who begin to storm the Green House. The queen of the Green House calls to her aid the Moryana army and the Red Hats. De Gir, with the help of Santiago, raises a mutiny in the House Chood'. Shayne and warriors of Hyperborea capture children at a school of the Green House.

The witch Yana enters the war against the Green House. Artyom and Inga help Red Hats fight against Hyperboreans. The Green House gives the master of the House Chood' the "steam" laboratory. Hyperboreans attack de Gir's castle. De Gir is assisted by Hvans who grow the Golden Root. Witches and Eligor try to revive the master of Hyperboreans - Azag-Toth. Chood' storms the Green House.
