In a frightening portrait, Dennis Weaver plays the man-next-door who gets trapped in the insidious web of cocaine addiction. First it was an easy "boost" for Eddie Gant (Weaver), a 47-year old real estate salesman in a market so competitive, his career is threatened by men half his age. But it's a cruel illusion. While hiding his use from even his wife (Karen Grassle), his dependency escalates, his bank account disappears, mood-swings threaten his job - and finally his body screams out.
