One of the most prolific burglars has just been released from prison and since his release a number of burglaries have occurred with his method of operation -breaking into homes while people are asleep and rifling through their belongings. And three young guys have buried their wreck of a car into a bank and a look at the car shows that it shouldn't have been on the road.

Constables Alex Grant and Sonya Webb are called to an assault job in South Auckland. Then, Constables Rob Downer and Craig Chaplow are on their way to a hotel where the owner has spotted a guy suspected of a number of hotel thefts.
