While the allies of world war 2 were fighting in Europe, a parallel war in the Pacific was raging. Almost on its own, the United States began a massive campaign against Japan, driving the enemy back to its homeland, then launched the largest air assault in history, culminating in the use of the newly developed nuclear bomb. The strategic air campaign and the nuclear bomb changed the world forever.
