When a body is found on the boundary stone on the Austro-German border, German police inspector Ellie Stocker and Austrian police inspector Gedeon Winter have to work together to unfold a mysterious series of cruel murders both north and south of the border German/Austrian border. The investigation in the snowed-in Alps is grinding them down, while both are going through private crises.
