Joining forces with old friend and adversary Julie March, Matlock attempts to re verse a murder sentence and unravel a case of corruption, conspiracy and perjury. Based on falsified evidence, Clarence Ryder was sent to jail for a murder he didn’t commit and Matlock intends to prove it!

One of Ben’s old clients is charged with bank robbery, again. The only witness is a precocious twelve-year-old boy who presents more than a handful of problems for Matlock. One of them is the boy’s “fee” for helping out. He wants Matlock to defend his dad – a car thief with a rap sheet a mile long. The other is that he is marked for murder.
