Three sex workers in Antwerp, Berlin and Copenhagen are found dead, all shot through their left eyes and with a finger cut off. And all die mere hours after being visited by Belgian journalist Jean Louis Pouqelin. Original title: Mord uden grænser.

Lithuanian billionaire Marius Loukauskis appears to be connected to the case. Loukauskis is suspected to be the head of an international trafficking network. (Nordic Noir)

Journalist Jean Louis was writing a book about Loukauskis and his criminal business, and interviewed the murdered sex workers. This may be the reason why they were killed, and why Jean Louis was tortured.

The trail leads to Bruno Koopman, Loukauskis's security chief. Harald gets in touch with an undercover agent working inside Loukauskis's organisation.

On her way to meet Iris Gabler, Jackie is attacked and shot by a masked man. Badly wounded, she's taken to a hospital in Berlin. Harald and Alicia come to Berlin, but find no sign of the shooter.

When the Danish police arrive at the illegal chicken farm, the building is on fire. Unfortunately, most of the evidence is lost in the flames, so the only key to nailing Loukauskis is buried in Jean Louis's papers.

After Loukauskis slips out of the net, the Team puts out an international arrest warrant on him. While Jackie and Harald try to get a grip on Loukauskis's whereabouts, Alicia faces a huge personal nightmare.

The team narrows down their search for Loukauskis, leading them to an abandoned factory in the Belgian countryside. They only have one shot left at getting him before he leaves Europe.
