Lorna Doone

A young John Ridd watches as his father is killed by a member of the Doone clan. Years later, on a covert visit to Doone Valley, John comes upon the beautiful Lorna by a waterfall and the attraction between them is instant. John is horrified when Lorna later reveals herself to be a Doone, however, he realizes he cannot fight the love growing between them.

The Doones have underestimated the strength of their opponents resolve. They are met by a barrage of gunfire as John and his compatriots - his sisters Annie, Lizzie, his other Sarah and the king's envoy Captain Stickles force Carver and his men to retreat back to Doone Valley. But Carver is not going to give Lorna up easily.
