Looking at the pressures exerted on President Wilson During WWI to come to the aid of the European Allies, along with the anti-interventionist resistance mounted by Americans opposed to any such action, the program also examines the conditions under which US soldiers finally joined their European counterparts and helped break the deadlock on the Western Front.
