Dani sets out and tries her luck applying for internships at various companies. Before she even manages to get into her dream company, she's almost hit by a car, was escorted out of a bar, and braved through a few more embarrassing moments. But none of these could ever prepare her for the greatest shock in her life as she finds out who's behind all those embarrassing moments-her boss.

Dani steps up to Nathan, the CEO and founder of Golden Builders, and strives to prove to him that she will be his best intern ever. Despite their differences, they discover they have a lot more in common than what they originally thought-and one of them falls before even knowing it.

Being the apple of their boss' eye makes Dani the target of office rumor mongering and bullying. Luckily, Nathan swoops in and saves the day. However, he may have taken things a little bit too far. Meanwhile, Janice feels the tinges of jealousy.

Luckily, Nathan comes through and gives Dani a sweet and unforgettable night. But as they celebrate the official start of their romance, danger lurks nearby not only for them, but the people they hold dear as well.

A horrible accident at the MTR project launch sends Nathan's and his company's reputation down the gutter. A thorough investigation ensues as the national government and the public demand an explanation. Through this, Dani tries to play her part of a supportive girlfriend, but Nathan has simply shut himself off until he addresses the matter and puts the culprit to justice.

Nathan's downfall begins when former employees blame him for the tragic MTR project. When an unexpected witness takes the stand, he receives his biggest and most painful hit.

Multiple charges are filed against Nathan just as his investors and projects pull out one by one. Now that he stands the chance of losing everything he's worked hard for, he decides to push away the woman he holds dear.

With almost nothing to his name, Nathan soon learns that starting over is never easy especially when there are people determined to bring him down. Fortunately, he also realizes that he still has Janice and James to rely on despite his situation. Meanwhile, a medical emergency forces Dani to take up Ginno's job offer.

With the grand opening of Platinum Builders, Ginno and Gary marks their ultimate revenge against Nathan. At his lowest, Nathan walks away from everything and goes missing, which sends his loved ones on a mission to find him.

Nathan surprisingly learns about his mother's past when a kindhearted woman takes him in. After locating Nathan, Janice spends some quality time with her former boss. Meanwhile, Ginno stops at nothing in order to get Dani as his assistant.

As Nathan and Janice celebrate Linda's birthday, James and Morisette get to know each other some more as they prepare their surprise for Nathan's return. Meanwhile, a visit from Gary leads to Dani agreeing to become Ginno's personal assistant.

Ginno continues to make advances on Dani and Dani's friends and family are doubting his intentions. However, Dani just goes with the flow and justifies her actions as paying back Ginno for what he has done for her family.

With Nathan's return, a new chapter begins for the former president of Golden Builders and his loved ones. Meanwhile, Dani begins her new job as a special assistant to Ginno. When Dani finally musters up the courage to face her former lover, will Nathan find it in his heart to listen and forgive?

Gary fails to impress new clients with his pitch and he blames no one else for it but Dani. Nathan is going around pitching his business to old contacts, but things get brutal as bad blood gets the best of his so-called friends. Will Nathan's luck finally clear up?

Nathan and his friends finally have an upswing of luck and things look promising for them in the long run. It seems like a good repose from all the harassment Gary deals to their shop.
