When 13 year old Champ Brown finds an old prospector's skeleton with a mysterious compass and journal in the woods, he enlists his clubhouse friends to go on a time-traveling adventure to find lost gold before his parents sell their house and he loses everything important to him. In the end, he learns about the true treasures in life.
