The Adventures of Robin Hood

The Earl of Steyne is murdered by Baron Oslow and his minion, Ralph, when he's on his way to join King Richard in the Holy Land. Baron Oslow wears the Earl's clothing as a disguise, and rides to Nottingham Castle himself.

Lord Giles of Richmond visits Nottingham to collect taxes, and plots to exploit its citizens for personal gain. Marian catches wind of Lord Giles' deceit and informs Robin Hood, who quickly springs into action.

Robin and Derwent rescue Will Scarlett while out hunting, and they allow him and Maud de Sarigny to spend the night at their camp. Upon escorting Lady de Sarigny home, Will is ambushed by the Sheriff's men and brought to Nottingham Jail, charged with the abduction of Maud.

When Robin and the outlaws capture three knights for trespassing, Marian recognizes one of them as her cousin, Sir Nigel Fitzhulme. Before she'll agree to release him, however, she must learn the reasoning behind the company that he keeps.

When Alan-a-Dale doesn't return to the outlaw camp for two days, Robin and Will Scarlett search for him in the woods. They witness a group of soldiers accompanying a shackled prisoner along the road and decide to intervene.

The Sheriff doesn't consider the plight of the villagers when there are profits to reap. When he tries to sell flour at a prohibitive cost, Robin must represent the townspeople and teach the Sheriff not to exploit the lives that he's obligated to protect.

Alan-a-Dale returns to Sherwood, uninformed that he is wanted for murder by Prince John. His arrival causes the tension between Robin and the Sheriff to reach a boiling point, with the Sheriff expending all resources necessary to capture Alan.

When Friar Tuck doesn't collect any church donations for three months straight, his Abbot grows increasingly cross with him. In order to appease the Abbot, Tuck devises a plan to hold a clerical Love Day the very next day.

Lord Ambrose's new bailiff, Sir Watkyn, has unjustly demanded livestock and wages from the impoverished. When Friar Tuck catches wind of Sir Watkyn's dishonesty and cruelty, he confronts Sir Watkyn and then visits the outlaw camp for assistance.

When Lord Repton visits Nottingham, he wagers 500 marks that the Deputy Sheriff can't produce a better archer than he can. Since Lord Repton is likely correct, the Deputy Sheriff sends a plea to Robin at the outlaw camp, out of necessity.

A man ambushes and robs Friar Tuck in Sherwood as he sits to enjoy refreshment. When Tuck asks for his identity, the stranger poses as one of Robin's outlaws.

The Deputy Sheriff tries to bamboozle Friar Tuck in order to prove that the priest colludes with the outlaws. To corner him, the Deputy Sheriff has Friar Tuck denounce the outlaws and take an oath in front of the Archbishop that binds him to secrecy.

A charm pedlar arrives in Sherwood, claiming to possess exotic remedies for all of the villagers' ailments. Initially, Robin sees him as nothing more than a fibbing nuisance, but Friar Tuck's insistence of the contrary convinces him otherwise.

Little John grows wary of his position within Robin's band of outlaws, afraid that Will Scarlett has virtually taken his place as Robin's lieutenant. Having had enough, Little John heatedly storms out of Sherwood and swears never to return.

A writer and his manservant go undercover as outlaws in Sherwood Forest in order to learn about Robin's band. Immediately suspicious about the inauthentic outlaws, Robin assigns Sir Geoffrey and Herbert tedious tasks in order to expose them as frauds.

Duncan of Stoneykirk makes a turbulent return to the outlaw camp, rousing ruckus among Robin's men. Robin suspects that Duncan could jeopardize the other outlaws, but must tread carefully around him in order to avert any confrontation.

Duncan the wild Highland clansman overstays his welcome in the outlaw camp, especially due to his overbearing infatuation with Lady Marian. When Duncan's lass, Jessie, makes her way to the camp, Robin and the other outlaws see an opportunity to rid themselves of the bagpiper for good.

When the Sheriff's men capture Will Scarlett, the Deputy Sheriff sees it as an opportunity to leverage for Robin's own surrender. He threatens to publicly hang a serf every day until Robin turns himself in.

When the Deputy Sheriff is attacked and robbed of his chain of office by a masked stranger, he threatens nine other villagers with a death sentence if they fail to catch the perpetrator. Robin hatches a high stakes plan to save Dick, Dick's friends, and the other outlaws from the Sheriff's clutches.

The Sheriff breaks the news to Marian that her father has died in battle and that her estate is to be handed over to Sir Quentin. When Marian tells Robin of the lamentable development, he suspects another one of the Sheriff's abominable ploys has been enacted.

Boland defeats both Will and Robin in battle, planning to get rich by capturing Robin and exchanging him to the Sheriff for gold. Admitting defeat, Robin entices Boland to forget his plan and instead join the band of outlaws.

Duchess Constance of Brittany trusts Robin Hood and wants him to provide safe escort to the North for Prince Arthur. She sends Sir Nedrick to deliver the request at the outlaw camp, but his traveling companion leads him into a fatal ambush by the Sheriff's men.

A pedlar swindles Little John into buying three dice, which he proclaims foretell the future and once belonged to ancient Egyptian kings. Has Little John met the realm's first honest pedlar, or are these omniscient dice too good to be true?

Robin, being chased by the Sheriff's men, stumbles into the house of Sir Bligh Denton, a wealthy merchant. Sir Bligh mistakes Robin for one of his daughter's suitors, and Robin does little to remedy the situation.
