The Refugees

Alex is a refugee from the future who arrives at Samuel and his wife, Emma's house, seeking their help. At first, they don't trust him, but they soon find out that he is not the only one. The Cruz family agrees to take Álex in, but they soon start suspecting the newcomer is not telling them the whole truth.

Álex tells the Cruz family the whole truth about him being there. He joined the exodus with a special mission. Meanwhile, Emma turns to an information dealer who can provide details about the refugees.

Álex saves the Cruz family, and yet his wife and daughter will not show up. He wonders what he did wrong. Tormented by doubts about the attack, Alex wants to know why those strangers seemed to know Emma, but she is not ready - at least not yet - to tell the truth.

The police find Emma's ex-husband's car. Meanwhile, in the village, the mysterious drawing of a refugee girl spreads the rumor that the newcomers are carrying a deadly virus.

Emma and Álex find out that Ani ran away after seeing them kissing. The whole village mobilizes to search for the girl. Samuel remains in jail, unable to do anything. He thinks something must have happened to make her run away. Hate against the newcomers grows stronger; especially now that Óscar has convinced everyone, they are responsible for Ani's disappearance.

Álex ends up in prison after Samuel confesses he has been hiding him at home the whole time. Samuel kicks Emma out of the house and stays with Ani. Alex gets information about his wife and manages to get out of jail to search for his daughter.

Samuel finds out Ani ran away again, this time to warn Álex. He bursts out of the house to stop her, but not before she manages to contact Álex. She makes Alex see she and Emma are in danger because of Samuel. The refugee shows up at the house to take Emma and Ani, but Samuel won't allow it. Álex has broken his home, his family, but Samuel won't let them take them away.
