Black Butler

A series of suspicious deaths in Germany, where all of the victims were purportedly cursed by a witch after entering the "Werewolves' Forest," prompts Sebastian and Ciel to set out with the rest of the household to get to the bottom of the mystery. In Wolfsschlucht, a village populated entirely by women, they meet the settlement's young leader, Sieglinde Sullivan.

Once opposition to their presence in the village has been quelled, Sebastian and the others receive permission from Sullivan to stay. Ciel and Sullivan sit down to dine together, only to be informed that a werewolf has appeared.

Sebastian and Ciel show odd physical symptoms after breaking the taboo of entering the Werewolves' Forest to further their investigations. Sullivan performs a purification ritual on Ciel, but both his body and mind have been weakened. When Sebastian requests that she continue to treat his master, Sullivan's agreement comes with a shocking condition.

Per the terms of their agreement, Sebastian starts serving Sullivan as her butler. Meanwhile, Ciel seems to have become an entirely different person, and Sebastian has Finny care for the young master in his place. Ciel is now afraid of adults, but Finny is an easy companion for him, and the latter finds himself reflecting on when the pair first met.

While Sebastian and Snake are off investigating the Emerald Castle behind Wolfram's back, Ciel and Finny get attacked by a werewolf. Shocked by this unthinkable incident, Sullivan makes contact with the werewolves, promising to complete the Ultimate Spell while entreating them to calm their anger.

Wolfram has ordered Sebastian and the others to leave Wolfsschlucht when Queen Victoria's personal attendant, John Brown, suddenly appears with a letter from her. Sebastian intuits that they are out of time and sternly confronts Ciel.

Sullivan finally completes the Ultimate Spell, and with her duty as the Emerald Witch now fulfilled, she expresses a desire to learn more about the outside world, which she feels will also help the villagers. However, Wolfram is strongly opposed to this idea. Sebastian and Ciel come to her in the midst of her disheartenment.

After learning everything there is to know about the mystery, Ciel presses Sullivan to come to a decision.

The villagers madly pursue Sullivan, resulting in a fierce battle between them and the Phantomhive servants. In the ensuing turmoil, Ciel entrusts Sullivan to Finny and gives an order.

Ciel is saved by his father's friend, Diederich. According to Diederich's research, Wolfsschlucht is home to another threat beyond the werewolves and the curses... and that threat has Ciel and his entourage in its sights.

After escaping death, Sebastian and the others reunite, but they're only afforded a brief moment of relief before the tenacious Wolfram comes after them...

Sebastian and the others manage to get clear of the Werewolves' Forest to safety. Taking refuge in Diederich's estate, Ciel learns that Undertaker, who has been missing ever since the incident in the public school, has visited his father's friend.

The household returns to England, and the final task to wrap up their mission is to present the boorish Sullivan to the Queen. It is then that Sebastian's strict lessons on ladylike behavior begin...
