The Bakers, middle class family with traditional family values, decide to adopt after the deadly 2010 Haiti Earthquake. This gesture fulfills their wish to "give back" and alleviates further infertility issues with matriarch, Rebecca Baker. The decision to expand the family and adopt, despite cultural and racial differences, is short lived when an unexpected situation causes things to go awry.
