Kim and Craig are hired by Carter's Unique Employment Agency to perform at a birthday party. But Kim loses her voice that afternoon and won't be able to sing, so Lucy must take her place.

Lucy, Harry, Kim and Craig decide to take a holiday. And where do you think they find themselves? At Jack Benny's holiday inn! Jackie Gleason makes a quick appearance at the end, eating his lunch that the Carters had to prepare.

Lucy must deliver a summons to a very unfriendly lady, but she and Harry get into a hilarious situation *in* the furnace.

Kim gets her first job as a sales assistant with special payments for every piece of clothing she sells. Lucy figures "the more I buy, the more I save!".

A Van Johnson look-alike plays a prank on Lucy and she gives him $23.50 to "fix his car". So when Lucy goes to get it back, Van doesn't recognise her and calls for his security guards to escort her back to her car. But when he realises that a look-alike of his really took the money from her, he feels bad and winds up singing happy birthday to a cow for Cater's Unique Employment Agency.

Lucy tries to get Harry a perfect match from the output of a dating computer. The computer says that Viv is Harry's perfect match, and Lucy tries desperately to get them together. In the end, Viv falls for Lucy's blind date.

Kim and Craig, while doing a project for their geography class, discover an old gold mine. Lucy tells Harry of their find and soon Harry has bought the land for himself. But the catch is that the gold costs more to produce than than the rewards bring in!

Lucy tries desperately to fix Harry's broken lamp, but she turns his whole house upside-down!

Lucy tries to help Wally, an ex-con, to get a new start at life. They get into a very sticky situation but are able to prove Wally's innocence and get Wally a job.

Lucy revolts against Harry's unjust ways and with the help of her good friend Mary Wickes is able to go on strike. Harrison Carter is a FINK!

Lucy and Harry agree to be part of Kim and Craig's higschool play, and are able to get Carol Burnett as a special guest.

Lucy and Harry must go on a wild adventure through the airport to escape from some terrorists.

Lucy teaches her daughter the finer points of shopping, getting into strife with the supermarket and nearly getting Craig fired from working there. But they find three special explosive cans of whipped cream, and each can wins then $100!

The Carters hire Howard Keel to help them search for the "gorboona" (a rare combination between a gorilla and a baboon), Lucy ends up being hit in the backside by a tranquillising gun, Kim and Craig end up dressing as colourful dancers to attract the gorboona, and Harry winds up doing a successful rain dance.

Ernie Ford turns to Carter's Unique Employment Agency for help on ways to make more money on his slowly-dying farm. The Carters decide to turn Ernie's farm into an amusement farm park to make more money, and they devise an add for TV. Many funny sketches arise from the add! "Y'all Come!"

It's Craig's 16th birthday and he wakes up his family at 6am to be ready to take him for his driver's license test. Lucy insists on being there right by his side the whole way, causing many laughs along the way and a embarrassments on Craig's behalf. But Craig does get his license, as Jack Gilford (his "tester") comments "If you can drive so well under these conditions, you can drive ANYWHERE!"
