RACHEL—a Western woman—is recruited by Mossad while in Israel. After training in Germany and being given a new Australian identity, she is sent on a long-term mission to Tehran. Her only contact in the West is THOMAS, her handler, an Australian living in Berlin, with whom she has a complex relationship. Rachel immerses herself in Tehran and she begins a love affair with an Iranian businessman.
