Pure Hunting

Pure Hunting is entering its 8th year, but Willi Schmidt feels it is time to pull back the curtain and let you into his personal and family life a little more. See who Willi Schmidt is, what makes him tick and understand a little more of what Pure Hunting is all about.

Chris Nowak finally drew a black bear tag in Wisconsin. He has anxiously been waiting for this tag and the opportunity to hunt his family's old property where he grew up hunting.

Willi and Chris play host to Nick Ventura and Tom Petry of Become 1 TV. Willi has talked up the waterfowl hunting in Nebraska and Nick and Tom are calling his bluff. Nick grew up waterfowl hunting but Tom has never been on a waterfowl hunt. The hunting should be good but there will be a lot of laught and tons of fun.

Willi has hunted Randy Peck's family ranch the previous 3 years for hogs and coyotes. Willi always looks forward to this hunt and this year, Chris gets to tag along and they decide to throw a day of bowfishing in the mix.

Willi and his friends head to the Missouri Breaks of Montana for their annual Wall Tent Turkey Camp. It's the 7th year in a row the group has gotten together to chase Merriam's Turkeys. This year, Willi's wife, Sherry tags along for the camaraderie and fun.

When Randy Peck drew his New Mexico elk tag, he hired Ralph Ramos to guide him to kill his first archery elk. Ralph is known for his passion for rattling bull elk during the rut.

When Willi took advantage of a cancellation hunt for whitetails in Alberta, he never envisioned the issues he would have trying to take his first Canadian Whitetail. The unseasonably cold, wet weather proves to be the least of his concerns.

Willi's daughter, Samantha goes to Montana State University and they have been applying for a pronghorn tag for 3 years. They finally drew and they are ready for a father/daughter hunt.

Chris Nowak has been involved with Outdoor Buddies for a number of years, sitting on their board and hosting hunts for disabled hunters. This is a story of the organization, Chris giving back and some of the hunts from last year.

Season 8 has been a great one for Pure Hunting. There was some great stuff that didn't make it into episodes but needed to be shown. This is a wrap up with bloopers, favorite hunts and a little more behind the scenes and prepping for next year.
