What If

The Moon is Earth's neighbourly best friend in the sky, always doing its job even when the Sun is hogging the spotlight during daylight hours. Consider for a moment the possibility of the Moon not being there - at all. What happens then?

Some people can't be blamed for fearing change, especially when it comes to the Milky Way mixing things up a bit. Maybe they'd prefer Earth to mimic the weightlessness of other planets instead.

Bigger is not always better, and being able to brag about having more land comes at a steep price. Never has that been more true when you toss in the unpleasant possibility of our atmospheric umbrella disappearing on us.

Ever baked a cake and realized leaving out one ingredient ruins the whole thing? It almost makes you want to scream, although you might not ever need to if we get to the point where our brains are hot-wired together.

Space might be the final frontier, but what's waiting out there for us? Would we be shaking hands with new life forms, or simply wishing we hadn't let our curiosity get the best of us when we jumped into that Black Hole?

It's always good to focus on the positive, but on occasion it can be darkly fascinating to consider what would happen if circumstances become unhinged across a planet that was never made to be perfect.

What's the point of being able to breathe underwater if there are no oceans to explore or any eye candy like reef beds to gaze at while you're there? Gills might be cool, but losing Earth's liquid environmental anchors is definitely not.

If your morning commute is tough now, imagine planning a route around roaming packs of velociraptors. Extinction of species changes everything but what would happen if we all just said no to meat, or stopped giving bees the love they deserve?

What allows life on this planet to develop as it has comes down to this: Earth has rules; follow them and you'll be fine. If we lived on an Earth that throws out its own rulebook, then what happens?

Could you go a day if the online world collapsed...forever? Would it make the withdrawal symptoms easier to handle knowing that money no longer existed? Would your head explode thinking humans never made it to the Moon?

Heed this advice: do whatever you can to avoid getting on nature's bad side. Humans may think we're the ones calling the shots on this planet, but the truth is if nature decides to unleash some pent-up rage it could wipe us all out.

If you could, would you jump at the chance for instantaneous energy reforms? Would we be better off if key manufacturing components were never discovered, or would the butterfly effect kick in with a shocking eye-opener to living life green?

Is there anyone out there brave enough to be teleported five decades into the future? That bravery would come in handy if you found yourself floating through space, something that might happen if NASA just had more money.
