A mysterious new dragon appears before Gao, inviting him to participate in a BuddyFight tournament that pits the parallel worlds against each other. Gao and his friends travel to Dragon World to find a Buddy that will be his partner.

To Chibi Panda and Gao's dismay, Batzz shows no interest in the World Buddy Masters. Worse still, his rampages cause city-wide blackouts. Chibi Panda learns the rules of BuddyFight, while Gaito and Abygale challenge Gao and Batzz to a match.

Gao discovers that soccer star Kanata is also a BuddyFight genius who has never lost a life point. Tasuku tries to convince Kanata to represent Star Dragon World in the World Buddy Masters, but Kanata is no longer interested in BuddyFight.

The World Buddy Masters tournament begins, with ten worlds represented by ten skilled BuddyFighters. Gao's first match is against Magic World representative Tetsuya, but his real challenge is learning to deal with Batzz's rebellious streak.

Noboru meets his next opponent, a young boy who claims to be Noboru's biggest fan. Batzz suspects that there is more to Sakate than meets the eye.

Gao's next opponent is Kuu Teito, a Buddy Police trainee representing Hero World. Ku is determined to prove that her Buddy, Satsuki, is the strongest monster of all.

Batzz quits the tournament, but Dai Kaido does his best to convince him to stay. Gaito decides to use a mysterious new Impact in his next match.

Gao and his friends try to come up with a strategy to defeat Sakate's powerful Ambush technique. Zanya uncovers the truth about Sakate and his boss. Meanwhile, Sakate is back to his old tricks, playing mind games and trying to recruit Batzz.

Gao and Batzz have a fight and Gao takes drastic measures to keep Batzz in line. Gaito and Kanata are both determined to be the one who will face Gao in the final round, but Kanata finds his confidence wavering.

Gao and Kanata face off in the final round of the World Buddy Masters. Baku has prepared a special deck to counter the No-Damage Fighter, but Kanata has some unexpected tricks up his sleeve.

The final match of the World Buddy Masters continues, as Gao deals damage to Kanata and defends his life points. When Kanata uses his new card to survive a winning blow, the tournament's outcome hinges on his final turn.

As Gao and his friends race to find Batzz, Kanata faces Wisdom and his new Flag card, the Chaos.

Wisdom invites Batzz to join him in world domination as Gao faces him in a BuddyFight. Meanwhile, Gaito corners Sakate and tries to get the truth out of him.

Gao continues his gruelling battle against Wisdom. Tasuku and Ku face off against Brutal and Keisetsu, two members of the Chaos Three, Wisdom's elite team of BuddyFighters.

A mysterious old man holds the secret to restoring Gao. Gao and his friends investigate a series of spooky events plaguing Aibo Academy.

Gao learns that he can possess humans in his current ghost-like form. When Shido grows jealous of Kanata and Gaito's popularity and concocts a plan, only Gao and his friends can stop him.

Batzz has until sunset to help people and cure Gao's dragonification. As Gao begins to fade out of existence, Baku discovers that the X Tempest Buster card has gone missing, leading to a desperate search.

Gao reunites with Guru Bunbuku, the mysterious old man who helped him reverse his dragonification. Suzumi senses that there's more to this stranger than meets the eye.

Gao and his friends start an intensive week-long training session at Master Bunbuku's training camp. En route to the camp, mysterious monsters kidnap Master Bunbuku and the others. Gao must overcome his inability to use the X Tempest Buster.

Guru Bunbuku gives advice to Gao's friends. As they puzzle over the meaning of this words, Gaito becomes determined to face Kiri in a BuddyFight.

Zanya and Tetsuya join the training camp. While Kanata tries to puzzle out the meaning of Guru Bunbuku's advice, Athora worries about their future as Buddies.

As the training camp winds down, Guru Bunbuku reveals the truth about Batzz's past.

Gao and friends are worried about Kanata's strange behavior. Chibi Panda wants to become stronger to protect Gao and Batzz. Guru Bunbuku tries to solve both problems through a BuddyFight with Gao.

Kiri encounters Brutal while investigating the mysterious disappearance of monsters from various worlds. When Kiri rescues some Chaos Monster cards from Brutal's clutches, Brutal challenges him to a BuddyFight and shows his true colors.
