The Last Detective

In the height of a sweltering heat wave, "Dangerous" Davies is called to investigate the suspicious death of local lottery winner and painter Maurice Leyman.

It is the eve of the Easter bank holiday when "Dangerous" Davies uncovers the burial ground of a serial killer in a local back garden.

When the body of a medical researcher is found in the river, Davies suspects the case may be suicide - until the man's co-worker later disappears.

There is no joy for Davies in being sent to shift a group of New Age Travellers from their encampment. Despite breaking the law, they just aren't moving.
