When Charlie the owl moves into Freddie the frog's home for a short time, arguments erupt, and they learn how to compromise.

Freddie's cousin Freida arrives from Chicago and decides to build a large city in New Zoo. The plan backfires when the gang realizes that despite the advantages a city offers, they are more at home in New Zoo, just as it is.

Charlie announces that the French government has invited him to Paris to report on his latest invention, but Freddie and Henrietta have their own opinions about him moving away.

Henrietta, insulted because no one invites her to visit, learns that the best way to settle problems is to talk them out.

Henrietta's delusions of grandeur get her in trouble. The others help her out of her predicament and learn that when a friend is in need, it is everyone's responsibility to help out.

Freddie learns that far too often, we look but really don't see what we are looking at, especially in matters of the heart.

When Charlie objects to having his possessions handled, the others point out to him that touching is a way of communicating and can be a good thing.
