Moonshiners: American Spirit

When Tim and Howard head to FDR's summer home in Georgia, they uncover a Prohibition-era mystery that could have triggered a presidential scandal. With Tickle's help, they follow the clues building a 1930s-style pot still to recreate FDR's outlaw booze.

Tim and Tickle attempt to recreate the lost recipe Elijah Craig used in 1789 when he invented bourbon whiskey. By tracking down the ingredients and equipment of the era, they’ll be the first to taste America’s original bourbon in over two centuries.

Tim heads to Philadelphia with Howard to investigate Ben Franklin's 250-year-old recipe for spruce beer drunk by the Continental Army. With help from Tickle, they recreate Franklin's recipe and distill the results in search of a long-lost American spirit.

In Chicago, Tim and Tickle track down the recipe for Al Capone's legendary Prohibition-era gin. When Howard uncovers a 1920s clawfoot bathtub, the three shiners fire up their vintage-style still in hopes of tasting the hundred-year-old lost spirit.

When Tim and Howard arrive in Boston in search of colonial rum, they uncover the spirit that inspired America's original bootleggers, outlaw liquor men and patriots. With help from Tickle, they recreate the recipe that was a favorite of Paul Revere.
