THE GOOD AMERICAN portrays Tom Weise, one of the initiators of HustlaBall. The origin of the event was to encourage the acceptance of male prostitutes. This film shows how Weise copes with HIV and his fight for sex workers' dignity. After Tom Weise's parents split he went to New York in the early 1990s. Being HIV positive, he is forced to live in the USA illegally.
