When Bonda came up from the minors, he an outfielder named Itsuki Roppa came with him. Itsuki hits hard and has a pregnant wife he's playing for, but will his carefree attitude prove a liability for the team?

Despite Itsuki's amazing performance in batting practice, he just can't deliver when it counts. His first hit comes only in a moment when it makes no difference. So after the game, Natsunosuke gives him a warning...

Despite being a major driving force in the pennant race, Itsuki Roppa has hit a wall. Then, just before a defining game against the Tempters, he receives a call that his just-born son has been sent to the ICU.

Natsunosuke is about to do his first live broadcast, and takes a drink beforehand to give him courage. The combination of alcohol and nerves leads to him criticizing the Japan Series, sending the studio into a panic.

When Natsunosuke hears that his senpai, Korekawa, is being traded to Kobe, he decides to take him out for a farewell meal. But he chooses the restaurant where his crush Yuki works... and on TV, the Osaka Tempters are fighting for the championship crown.

Can middle-aged players stand a chance in open tryouts? That's the question that a pitcher and catcher, both talented but declared DFA due to circumstances, will bet on when they risk their careers on this open-call gamble.

It's Spiders' fan appreciation day at Jingu Stadium, and Natsunosuke and Akira go into the stands for a game of team hide-and-seek. But Natsunosuke is quickly shocked to realize that he's chosen a seat next to Yuki!
