For years, Oceana has explored and protected the world's oceans…and always found plastic polluting the bottom of the sea. Now, the mission is to assess the impact of plastic pollution in the Mediterranean Sea and take action before it’s too late.

There are plenty of good reasons to protect whales for their intrinsic value. The fact that these majestic animals also provide benefits to the environment and to the economy – especially in the form of carbon offsets – is a just a bonus.
