Natsume's Book of Friends

Natsume croise une ancienne connaissance de sa famille paternelle et essaie d'en apprendre plus sur sa grand-mère.

Alors que Natsume court sous la pluie pour rentrer chez lui, une serviette lui tombe dessus. Il découvre alors qu'elle appartient à un yôkai et craint que ce dernier ne vienne la récupérer.

Natsume découvre une lettre à son nom quand il prend le courrier en rentrant chez lui. Apparemment, elle lui a été envoyée par un certain exorciste…

Natsume se retrouve à la réunion d'exorcistes organisée par Matoba pour essayer de démasquer un certain yôkai.

Taki fait l'étrange rencontre d'un yôkai qui semble piégé dans sa maison. Elle décide alors de lui venir en aide pour l'aider à quitter cette dernière.

Après avoir été attaqué par des yôkai, Natsume a perdu sa voix. Il se concerte donc avec ses amis yôkai pour tenter de la retrouver.

Natsume et ses amis vont à l'auberge tenue par la tante de Tanuma. Ils découvrent alors qu'un festival se tient non loin de là où ils se trouvent.

Touko and Shigeru are the kind elderly couple who took in Natsume when no one else would. But what were they like before they let Natsume move in?

Natsume has come down with a cold after adventuring in the hills. All of his friends, both human and youkai, do their best to make him feel better. As he lies in bed, he begins to realize how much the people around him care for him, and how valuable the bonds he's established are.
