Vintage Roads Great & Small

Peter and Chris retrace the steps of James Herriot and All Creatures Great & Small as they visit Scarborough, the North Yorkshire Moors, and the Yorkshire Dales, reuniting with the famous Austin 7 and the Yorkshire Jowett.

Riding in vehicles including a Bullnose Morris Cowley and a WWII Willys Jeep, Peter and Chris travel through the New Forest, Dorset Coast, and English Riviera, hearing about holiday making 1930s-style and the WWII militarization of the British seaside.

Chris and Peter visit Calton Hill in Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh and then journey to Hawick and Hadrian's Wall, unearthing the Borders region’s rich motorsports history and discovering the delights of a Galloway car and a high-end Ford Fiesta rally car.

Visiting Somerset, the Cotswolds, and the Midlands, Chris and Peter attempt some tricky Roman roads and encounter the former heartland of the British motor industry. Vehicles include ‘the Beast of Turin’ and a Wolseley police car.
