Kaasan Mom's Life

Mom takes the four dummies, Bunji, Ma, Chi, and Daichi to the aquarium. Mom asks them to calm down on the train ride there, but they won't listen...The four finally arrive and exit the train. They just need to board the bus. However, one leaves to go to the bathroom and another disappears.

Bunji dropped all his school belongings on the roadway leading to school, but the kindhearted Chinatsu brought them to him. Mom, suspicious, secretly follows Bunji to school... Only those who finish their lunches fast in Bunji's class can have seconds. Because Daichi is out today, his pudding remains. The speed-eating battle for the pudding begins!

Bunji takes the entire class's supply of chimaki peels home after lunch. Ma follows, along with others. Mom watches over them as they plot to do something with the chimaki peels... Bunji is eating a ghost-shrimp lunch set. Without thinking about the amount, he dumps all the eggs into the water tank. Out pours a red tide, followed by a harrowing sight...

Bunji, Ma, Chi, and Daichi are having a sleepover party tonight. Mom prepares for all contingencies, but the four of them go into crazy mode right at the start! Dad always invites the family out for noodles, but no one wants to go today. Reluctantly, they go anyway. On the way they find a tool to make udon with. Surprisingly, Bunji and Fumi get real into it!

Bunji, Ma, Chi, Daichi, and Kenta focus on training for the following day's athletic meet. They mean no ill will, but the group keeps acting as one... The Kamohara household is super excited the night before the athletic meet, because Bunji was told he has been chosen for the relay race. The truth is he was chosen by random lottery, but they're so excited he can't bring himself to say so.

Bunji and Daichi are out fishing for crawfish and loving it. They are using smoked squid for bait, but the giant blue crawfish doesn't take to it... Fumi and Dad go to a department to shop for clothes. They go into a "gal" event and Fumi gets into a conversation. Bunji says he wants to be an astronaut. Dad, completely drunk, grabs a swimming ring and goggles and says he'll train him to become one.

Fumi and Dad go to a parent & child cooking class. Fumi is upset, saying she wished Mom was there, when she becomes enchanted by a kind college student. She is completely infatuated and when Mom sees this... During a parent-child day of picking up trash at the park, Bunji plays with Ma and doesn't pick up trash at all. Along the way, he becomes enchanted by a kind high school girl.

One day, Dad says he wants to make the legendary Kamo curry. He had it once in India, long ago, and sets off on a gastronomical journey to relive the experience. Bunji is acting really down. He has a tooth that is about to fall out, but he mistakes it for being sick. Mom tries to explain to him that it only hurts until it falls out and then it feels better, but...

The Kamohara family dog, Jon. He came with a great pedigree but, because Mom's motto is "Dogs belong outside," he has endured a tough life. Today will we find out what Jon's true motives are?! Dad returns from overseas with soccer fever. He monopolizes the TV and tries to force everyone to watch a soccer match. Dad is acting exceptionally strange today, because tomorrow is Father's Day.

Mom is tasked with running the games at the kindergarten bazaar. The previous day Mom ignored her work to slave over making some game character cosplay outfits. The kids run in, delighted, and Mom is satisfied. At the bazaar, Chi's mother joins in selling frankfurters. She sighs as she is tasked with a quota of selling 1500 in one day.

Bunji Man is energetic even in the rain because of his "Aqua Form," created from a garbage bag or supermarket bag. With this, one can freely play, even in the rain. Mom and Fumi are shopping in Ginza. Unexpectedly, in the children's clothes section of the department store, they run into Fumi's rival, Kanna, and her mom.

Kenta, Daichi, and Bunji are studying at Daichi's house. Kenta is usually so cocky, but his whole expression changes when he sees Daichi's turtle. Bunji has never really brought home anything he's built or drew in school. Mom thinks she should save them as precious memories of his youth. But then one day...

After seeing it on TV, the Kamohara family goes to a safari park. However, Dad says, "A safari park is not a zoo! It's a savanna where survival of the fittest reigns!"; Having arrived at the safari park, the Kamohara family boards the animal bus to take them around the park. Seeing the guide, Okita, has fully captured the children's hearts, a sense of rivalry burns within Dad.

In Bunji's group of friends who usually get along, Ma and Chi are having a rare fight. Bunji is perplexed as he is caught between two people who refuse to talk to each other; Having a dream of downing a cold beer at the restaurant on the summit of a mountain, Mom has come with the family to summit a mountain. But with the cable car not moving, they decide to actually climb up the mountain...

Bunji's class has a short kanji test, but Bunji can't remember the kanji. Mom is disappointed by Bunji's test results today too when the three Spirits of Education appear. The three spirits don't get along and somehow, a competition between them begins; Mom gives Fumi a Marie Antoinette DVD as a reward for helping out.

The plan to predict the test questions is unable to produce success and Bunji's kanji test ends in total defeat. Mom studies with Bunji as she sets a low goal of "a least get a 20 out of a 100," but... Mom has come to a hotel buffet with Daichi's family and Chinatsu's family. Chinatsu's mom is very easygoing toward the high-spirited Bunji and Daichi who are rampaging about, but...

Mom is exhausted after pulling an all-nighter, so she goes to have a beer...

Bunji is acting strange... He clutches a 100 yen coin and paces nervously outside of supermarkets and convenience stores...

Bunji has to spend the night at his karate dojo. He is bullied on top of the harsh training.

Mom and the family go to Thailand for a vacation! Many hijinks ensue.

UFOs, Nuta, and Thumbelina all make appearances in this episode of Kaasan - Mom's Life!
