Jonathan's Return examines the experience of a young man diagnosed with schizophrenia as he migrates between institutional and national mental health contexts: growing up as a teenager in the U.S.; serving in the Israeli Army (where he is treated with suspicion); and returning to the U.S. to secure treatment. At each point, we see how different cultural frameworks inform Jonathan's experience.
