The Conspirator

Against the ominous backdrop of post-Civil War Washington, 28-year-old lawyer and Union war hero Frederick Aiken reluctantly defends Mary Surratt, the only woman charged with conspiring to kill President Lincoln. As the trial unfolds, Aiken realizes that Mary may be innocent and that she's being used as bait and hostage to capture the only conspirator to escape the massive manhunt, her son.
