"The Jewess and the Captain" sheds light on a Holocaust love affair between Ilse Stein, an 18-year-old Jewish girl, and Willi Schultz, the Nazi captain in charge of the Minsk Ghetto. The film conducts interviews with Stein just before her death, reveals archival photographs of her and Schultz as well as raids the KGB's secret documents to piece together the facts of their romance.
