Detective Anna

A brutal murder shocks the town. Under strange circumstances, an out-of-town visitor was killed. A man whom everyone, except for Anna, has long forgotten, suddenly appears at the crime scene.

Despite strained relations with Shtolman, who returned to the town, Anna cannot remain aloof from the investigation. Two investigators and the medium team up again to puzzle out this complicated case.

Maid is found shot to death in the park near the Mironovs' estate. Suspicion immediately falls on two of her suitors, but Anna fears that an innocent person may be convicted for her murder.

Anna and Shtolman become acquainted with the owner of the estate, where the murdered girl served. Turns out that many people considered her to be a witch, which could be the reason behind her murder.

A young heir to the landowner of Zatonsk is selling out his collection of antiquities at an auction. The most valuable lot is the mummy of the priest. During the auction, Anna has a terrible vision.

Aristarkhov confesses to the murder of his mistress, but Shtolman does not believe him. Meanwhile, Anna involves in the investigation her uncle, and an out-of-town Egyptologist to find out the truth.

Anna is approached by the mother of a young doctor, who died a year ago, asking to help contact her son. A few hours later, the woman is found dead in a ravine.

Anna manages to save several medical records from the archive. She hopes that they will shed light on the murder of the young doctor and his mother.

The new owner of a house where two previous owners died comes to see Anna. She believes there is no reason for any concern. The next day, the merchant is found dead in his bed.

All members of Ovchinnikov's household are under suspicion. Anna and Dr. Milts try to find a clue to the three deaths in the archives of the hospital, while an attempt is made on Shtolman.

A holiday at the estate suddenly turns into a tragedy. During the fireworks, the young wife of the bailiff, is shot dead. The owner asks Anna to stay at the estate for a while to help solve the crime.

It seems that the spirit of the young gypsy is covering up her killer and does not want to tell Anna his name. Meanwhile, another murder occurs at the estate.

The fiancé of Marfa Muromova is found strangled in her parents' house, while the girl has disappeared. Suspicion falls on a Tatar horse breeder who was in love with Marfa. But Anna thinks differently.

The Muromov and Kaisarov families separate the lovers. Anna and Kliuyev decide to help them, but their actions lead to sad consequences.

A famous Italian medium arrives in the town. During his performance, a spirit of a woman appears in front of the audience. She blames her husband for her death, so the case has to be re-investigated.

Shtolman considers Donizetti a swindler, but Anna does not doubt his gift. The Italian is ready to take part in the investigation of the death of Mrs. Zakharova and the disappearance of her maid.

A young woman is found dead. Everything points to the fact that she committed suicide by taking strychnine. However, her friend does not believe in the suicide and approaches Anna for help.

Professor's wife and his assistant are obviously concealing something, while Anna has a strange dream.

Anna's uncle is detained by order from the St. Petersburg police. He is accused of a serious crime committed a year ago. Anna is trying to interrogate the spirit of the alleged victim.

A young beggar is found dead one morning. Hours later, another misfortune happens in the town. Shtolman has to unravel a chain of mysterious deaths within one day to save the life of a close person.

The clock is ticking, but the antidote has not been found yet. The stranger plays with Shtolman, planting more and more riddles for him. Dr. Miltz is ready to resort to a risky method of treatment.

At a county ball, landowner Gudkov tells Shtolman a strange story about ghouls. The same night, one of the dead gets up and leaves the morgue, scaring the orderly to death.

All the forces of the Zatonsk police are mobilized to capture the sinister sect operating in the city and its leader.
