New journeys and revelations await the Landry family across generations. At the beginning of Season 4, Alice is about to graduate high school, Kat and Elliot begin to plan the next steps for their relationship, and Del finds herself a nearly-empty nester again while Jacob moves away from Port Haven.

When Kat finds herself in a new era of Port Haven history, new mysteries unfold.

When Elliot notices Kat's search for answers is stressing her out, he proposes a romantic getaway...and maybe he'll propose something else too. However, any plans are thwarted when Kat and Elliot learn that his father, Vic, is back in Port Haven. Spurred on by Elliot's questions about his mom, Vic is none too pleased with Del.

Nick returns to Port Haven and is just as curious as ever about the Landry Family's time travel adventures. In honor of his return, and Nick's biological father being in town too, Del hosts an old-fashioned kitchen party like she and Colton used to do for their friends and neighbors. The disruption to their routine sparks new questions for Del and Sam about their relationship.

When Nick joins Kat on her search for more information about Elliot's mother in the 1920s, the two realize they may be in over their heads. Nick is a natural in the '20s, but Elliot's ancestors might have it out for both Nick and Kat. Meanwhile, in the present, Del recovers from an accident.

As Elliot becomes more and more engrossed with uncovering his mother's secret history, he knows he will need Kat's help to find her in time. Meanwhile, Jacob reacclimatizes to life in Port Haven, and is surprised to find Abby Goodwin doing the same. Sparks fly between Jacob and Abby, though their families' history may be the thing that keeps them apart.

Now that Elliot and Kat have finally found Tessa, some questions are answered while others linger. Elliot stays behind in the 1920s as Kat jumps to the present, hoping to get more time with his mom, but uncertain of when he can ever return. Meanwhile in the present, KC's sudden re-appearance in Port Haven sparks new questions for Alice.

While Elliot remains in 1925, wanting to reconnect with Tessa and unable to return to the present, he grows closer with Fern and Cliff. After Jacob and Abby decide to tell Del about their relationship, Abby tries her best to get to know Jacob's family. Alice worries that Evelyn may be onto her, but also has a chance to see Young Del and Young Colton at their happiest.

The fateful night of New Year's Eve in 1925 has arrived, and Elliot and Kat are there to witness it firsthand. Though they know that what happened will always happen" new twists and turns to the Port Haven rum-running mystery of the fifth body appear, ultimately revealing the truth.

Kat helps Fern face her future by visiting the past to see Cliff again. The pond grants Jacob a visit to see Elijah, Susannah, and Thomas once more. Alice has a chance to set things right for Tessa and for Evelyn, and has to confront her feelings about her future and about Max.
