Bracket racing is a unique form of drag racing designed with a handicap start so that any car can be competitive. Don’t understand it? Watch this installment of Roadkill Extra as it’s all explained against the backdrop of the Merrill, Wisconsin, ice drags by Mike Finnegan-who himself has won a number of drag-boat bracket races.

On Roadkill Garage Episode 29, David Freiburger and Steve Dulcich explained carburetor-tuning basics with the Holley four-barrel on the ’65 F-250 Tater Truck. Some of the more complicated, in-depth stuff was left on the cutting-room floor, so we present one portion of the tech instruction here as Freiburger described what goes on in a carburetor baseplate.

It’s no secret that David Freiburger and Steve Dulcich are working on a ’72 Jeep Commando that will be powered by a 650hp Ford Cleveland engine for a Roadkill Garage project.
