Scandalous: Chappaquiddick

Sen. Ted Kennedy and his entourage threw a party on Chappaquiddick for staffers who worked on Bobby Kennedy's campaign for president... then tragedy struck. The senator's car was found overturned in a nearby pond with Mary Jo Kopechne's body inside.

Suspicion regarding Sen. Kennedy's actions on the night of July 18th begins to build.

With the inquest behind him, Senator Kennedy tries to push past the controversy and decide if he should run for president.

Kennedy is serving as a senior senator 40 years after Chappaquiddick. He develops a brain tumor and dies-taking with him the only true first-hand knowledge of what really happened. Decades later, the lack of concrete answers have spawned a cottage industry of competing conspiracy theories.
