Karadi Tales

Chandru the Jackal, is bullied by his pack due to his small size, compelling him to starve. One night, his life completely turns around when the colour of his fur changes to blue. He gets treated like a king by the entire animal kingdom.

A foolish lion's bones are at the bottom of the well and Karadi will tell you the story of how they got there.

The crows, Kaala and Karupi, are blessed with 4 beautiful chicks. But, an evil serpent named Sapri, eats the chicks while the parents are away. Devastated, they ask the jackal's help. He gives them a brilliant idea to teach the serpent a lesson.

Dhondu is a donkey which loves to sing, but its voice always irritated everyone. Sometimes, Dhondu and it's friend Juno went to the cucumber farm and ate all the cucumber. One day, Dhondu gets caught because of its irritating voice.

Karadi the bear, narrates the tale of a clever monkey who outfoxed an ungrateful crocodile and his devious wife. Lalu, the monkey, and the crocodile named Nathu are friends. The latter's wife wishes to eat the monkey's heart, but he outwits them.

Karadi narrates a heart touching story about four friends, Bhondu, Chanchal, Elli and Megha who lived in a beautiful forest atop the Nilgiri mountains. As the friends make their way through the forest, Chanchal gets tangled in a net set by a hunter. It's a race against time as the friends try their best to free Chanchal before the hunter returns. Will they succeed?

Karadi narrates a story of the monkey king named Kapi. He asks the monkeys to make sure that not a single mango falls in the river. Kali hates Kapi and allows a mango to fall in the river, which leads to the human invasion. Are the monkeys domed?

Karadi the bear, narrates the tale of a foolish crow who was outsmarted by a clever fox. The crow finds a piece of 'roti' and catches it in its beak. Noticing this, a hungry fox deceives the crow by making him sing, thereby stealing the crow's food.

Karadi narrates an interesting story about the three little fishes, Timsy, Bucky and Moti. Timsy cautions Bucky and Moti about a passing fisherman. Bucky's smartness helped him, but Moti gets caught in the net. How will Moti escape from the fish net?

The lion king, Bhuro, is hungry and sets out to search for a hunt. He finds an empty cave and waits inside for the animal to return. The cave belongs to a wily jackal , Juno, who tricks the lion to believe that his cave talks and foils his plan.

Lakku is a wily fox, while Gauri is a smart squirrel. They both work hard to grow their vegetable garden, but the fox resorts to taunt the squirrel. While Lakku is away injured, Gauri decides to teach the fox a lesson in humility.

Lord Hanuman saves Sugriv and promises to get his kingdom back for him. Lord Ram arrives and requests their help in rescuing Sita from the clutches of Ravan. Lord Ram kills Bali for Sugriv and gets his kingdom back to him, and in return Sugriv and Hanuman help Lord Ram in getting back Sita.

Karadi narrates the epic story of the birth of Krishna. Krishna is born under a prophecy of bringing death to the evil king Kansa. Kansa captures Vasudev and Devaki, hoping to escape his death, but Vasudev miraculously flees him from the prison.

Karadi, the Bear tells a story about the adventures of the Indian god, Lord Krishna, who as a child, went to Mathura to defeat the evil King Kansa, and return Mathura to the safe hands of its rightful king, Ugrasena.

Karadi tells the story about the birth the elephant god, Ganesha, who had to lose his head to the devastating anger of his father, Shiva. On learning that Ganesha was his son, Shiva sends his men to find a head to bring back Ganesha to life.

Kubera, the god of wealth, invites Shiva and Parvati for dinner, to showcase his wealth. Realising this, Shiva decides to send Ganesha on their behalf. Eventually, Kubera learns a valuable lesson while trying to quench Ganesha's hunger.

Karadi, the Bear tells the story of a gigantic monster, Bakasura who dwelt in the mountains of Ekachakra and would constantly cause trouble to the villagers. Unable to see the pain of the villagers, Kunti sends her son, Bhima, to end Bakasura.

Bhasmasura's dedication earns a blessing from Shiva. Unmindful of his intentions, Shiva grants him a wish to turn whomever he touches with his right hand, to dust. Shiva is forced to seek Vishnu's help when Bhasmasura tries to turn Shiva into ash.

Piku Bhai, is a miserly old man, who craves to eat coconut. He sets out to buy a coconut, bargaining with every shopkeeper along the way. His stinginess gets him in trouble, when he climbs up a tree to get a coconut for free.

Gorannagaru, a famous storyteller, is in the village to recite the Ramayana. Penchilayya is forced by her wife Bangaramma to attend the recitation. Tired and unwilling, he goes and finds the stories sweet on one night and salty on another night.

The big and burly, Tarlochand Singh meets the best wrestler across the Sutlej river, Paramjeet Singh. They want to wrestle each other but there is no audience to watch their legendary encounter, until an old lady offers to watch them wrestle.

Princess Surya falls in love with a Peacock and marries him. He gets lazy and fat over time and Princess Surya is fed up of him. Sun King throws Peacock back into the earth. Later, Princess Surya's tears creates eyes on Peacock's tail.

Muthu, Chellam, and their 11 children lived under a banyan tree. Due to his good nature, the tree spirits gifts him a magic vessel capable of making his wishes come true. Without greed, he decides to feed his family and the entire village.

Once there lived a handsome Cobra under a banyan tree who is mean and ill-tempered. He kills a harmless cow in the village and the people get terrified of the deadly snake, until a divine monk comes and changes its life forever.
